My Life Being Overweight in a Nutshell


Hello, welcome to my weight loss success story.  If you are reading this then it is most likely that you have been in the same situation as me.  Being overweight and trying to find the right diet solution?  I can sympathize with you because I have been overweight almost all my life.  I never realized how I was looked at differently until I was in high school.  I was treated in ways that no one should ever be treated.  Being overweight in high school gave me a low self esteem.  I didn’t have that many friends, I was rejected when I tried out for the volleyball team, and I never had a real date to take with me to prom.  In fact I never even went to my prom at all.  I felt like I missed out on so much. 

When I got out of high school, it seems that the issues of being overweight followed me throughout my life.   I went to college and somehow the same type of clichés and social groups carried over onto my college years.  There was plenty of binge drinking and social gatherings at frat parties and the sorority girls always seemed to be popular.  I never joined any sorority and I didn’t really party that much in college.  I actually concentrated on my education and graduated college with a pretty high GPA.  Nothing to brag about but that was my main focus in college.  I was still overweight however but my issues with obesity were pushed aside at the time.

Now after my experiences of being overweight in high school and in college, I figured maybe the adult life will be different.  In some cases they are, but when it comes to being overweight, I was still being treated differently.  I had a hard time landing a decent job and most of the places I applied to had very thin and beautiful female employees.  I wish I could say that my resume was to blame for being rejected.  

Not too long ago after breaking up with my boyfriend (yes I had a boyfriend at one point) and being rejected at a few job applications, I just looked in the mirror and made a promise to myself.  I told myself that I would lose weight and get in shape.  I didn’t know how I was going to do it, but I knew that once I made a promise to myself that I would never break it.  So my journey on losing weight began at that point and I never looked back.

The Diet Regime That Changed My Life


I spent many hours looking through the internet and joining weight loss forums to see what the secret solution was to losing weight.  I stumbled upon many weight loss fad diets that promised to help me to lose tons of weight in just a short amount of time.  I am a pretty smart girl, so I knew what to avoid.  I’ve ready many success stories online about how people lost weight and what their solution was.  I tried many different diets and work out routines.  Some of them had good results and some of them had bad results.  Let me tell you, that starving yourself from the proper calorie intake needed is not healthy.  Eating crackers and celery sticks all day won’t cut it either.  Starving yourself is probably the worst thing you can do.  I learned that if you starve yourself to lose weight then your body will do the opposite and store fat longer because it is trying to survive. 

Then, one day I read about this person who claimed to have lost over 50 pounds by using the combination of a unique diet, a special workout routine, and a simple supplement that was safe.  This person had their own youtube videos, their own blog, and even later created a website.  I followed this person online for weeks and kept seeing more progress and more results.  I sat there for a second and thought to myself “I need to try this”.  So I went online and wrote down exactly what this person was doing to lose weight and I researched it heavily.  I wanted to make sure it wasn’t a scam and that it was safe.  I couldn’t find anything negative at all about the weight loss regime that this person was using.  So I was ready to commit to this weight loss regime.  If this didn’t work for me then I had no idea what would.  But, it was time to give it a try.


My Diet Solution Regime, the First Step On Losing Weight


For the first few weeks I had to adjust my daily routine and carefully select certain foods to eat.  I knew what types of foods to avoid so that was no problem.  The only issue was getting used to the new diet recipes and some of them were really delicious while others were kind of bland.  I then had to discipline myself to do a quick workout routine every morning for 15-20 minutes.  Right now I’ve bumped it up to a half hour of working out in the morning before I leave my place.  This helps get the heart pumping and the blood flowing.  Plus I’ve felt happier and energetic from working out and eating healthy.  Last but not least I take this health diet supplement in the morning after breakfast.  It’s called the African Mango supplement and I will explain more about this.  It doesn’t really matter when I take it but I usually choose to take it in the mornings because I get more energy out of it. 

It’s completely amazing how my own perception on life has changed after my success with losing weight.  I feel more confident in myself and I feel that I can accomplish almost anything that I put in front of me.  I cannot believe that I lived the majority of my life with the burden of being overweight and dealing with a low-self esteem.

My Work Out Routine, the Second Step On Getting Thin Fast


The next part of my weight loss regime was getting in shape by exercising and introducing my body to simple workouts that would show results.  I was recommended to try out P90X2 workout videos and if you don’t know what the P90X2 workout program is then let me tell you.  Tony Horton is the creator of P90X and P90X2 and owns a $400-million-a-year-fitness empire.  So the guy obviously knows what he is doing and Horton keeps himself one step ahead of any other workout fitness program out there by relying on a fast-paced, high-intensity training program that combines strength, power, endurance, agility, and flexibility in just a single program. 



If there is someone who knows how to cut weight and get in amazing shape then it's Tony Horton.  The P90X2 work outs are broken up to 14 different workouts and each one can easily fit into my day.  The work out course is 90 days (hence why it's called P90X) and I’ve been doing it longer then that with great results.  The only thing you really need for equipment is a couple of dumbbells or resistance bands, a place to do pull-ups, and you also have the option (recommended but not necessary) to get a foam roller, a stability ball, and a couple medicine balls.  Luckily, one of the great things about the P90X2 program is that when you order the DVD set you have the option to upgrade your order that includes the equipment  you need for an affordable price.
